Apple Notified Me of an Airmail Pro Price Increase - What Are My Options?

If you have received an email or push notification from Apple announcing a price increase for your Airmail Pro subscription, this short guide explains the most common questions and the options available to you.

Why am I getting this notification?

Airmail Pro is sold as a subscription through the Apple App Store. Whenever the renewal price changes, Apple is required to send you an advance notification. The new price will only be charged at the next renewal date, never retroactively.

What happens if I do nothing?

Your subscription will renew automatically at the new price on the next renewal date. You can verify the current renewal price and date at any time inside System Settings on macOS, then Apple ID, then Subscriptions, then Airmail. On iPhone or iPad open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Airmail.

What are my options?

  1. Keep the subscription at the new price. No action is required.
  2. 2. Cancel auto-renewal. Open Subscriptions in System Settings or in the App Store, select Airmail, then Cancel Subscription. Your current Pro features will remain active until the end of the period you already paid for.
  3. 3. Continue using Airmail in standard mode after the subscription ends. The core mail experience is available without an active Pro plan. Advanced Pro-only features will be turned off, but you can resubscribe at any time.
  4. 4. Request to manage your subscription through Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by Airmail. You can submit a request from reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where can I see the official renewal price?

The price shown inside the App Store listing for Airmail, and inside Settings, Manage Subscription in the app, is always the current official figure. We recommend checking it there before contacting support.
