Dark Mode: Hyperlinks Difficult to Read in Emails

Problem

When using Dark Mode on macOS or iOS, hyperlinks in emails appear as dark grey text on a black background, making them nearly impossible to read.

Solution

Current Status

This is a known display issue in Dark Mode. The hyperlink colors in email content are determined by the email sender's HTML formatting, and some color combinations become unreadable when Dark Mode inverts colors.

Workarounds

On macOS

• Temporarily switch to Light Mode: System Settings → Appearance → Light
• Use Reader Mode if available for the email
• Select the text with your cursor to highlight it and reveal the link text

On iOS

• Temporarily disable Dark Mode: Settings → Display & Brightness → Light
• Long-press on the suspected link area to see a preview with the URL
