Dock Badge Not Showing Unread Email Count on Mac

Problem

The Airmail icon in the macOS Dock doesn't show a badge with the unread email count, even though you have unread messages.

Solution

Step 1: Enable Badge Count in Airmail

1. Open Airmail
2. Go to Settings → Notifications
3. Make sure "Badge Count" or "Show Badge" is enabled
4. Check the badge count setting — you can choose between:
   • All Unread
   • Inbox Only
   • Per Account

Step 2: Check macOS Notification Settings

1. Open System Settings → Notifications
2. Find Airmail in the app list
3. Make sure Notifications are allowed
4. Check that "Badges" is enabled

Step 3: Check Focus Mode

If you have a Focus mode active (Do Not Disturb, Work, etc.), it may be hiding badge counts:

1. Go to System Settings → Focus
2. Check if Airmail is allowed to show notifications in your active Focus mode

Step 4: Restart

• Quit Airmail completely (Cmd+Q) and reopen it
• If that doesn't work, try logging out and back into macOS
