Family Sharing Not Working for Airmail Pro

Problem

You purchased Airmail Pro on one device and enabled Family Sharing, but family members can't access Pro features on their devices.

Solution

Check Family Sharing Setup

  1. On the device that purchased Pro: go to Settings → [Your Name] → Family Sharing
  2. Make sure Purchase Sharing is enabled
  3. Verify the family member is listed in the family group

On the Family Member's Device

  1. Make sure they're signed into their own Apple ID
  2. Open the App Store
  3. Go to their purchased apps — Airmail should appear there
  4. Download/install Airmail from the family shared purchases
  5. Open Airmail → Settings → Airmail Pro → Restore Purchase

Important Notes

  • Family Sharing for subscriptions requires iOS 14+ and macOS 11+
  • The subscription must support Family Sharing (Airmail Pro subscriptions purchased after a certain date include this)
  • Older purchases may not be eligible for Family Sharing
  • If Restore Purchase doesn't work, the subscription holder may need to cancel and re-subscribe to get a Family Sharing eligible plan

Still Not Working?

Contact Apple Support, as Family Sharing issues are managed at the Apple ID/App Store level, not within Airmail itself.
