Finding Your Apple App Store Receipt and Managing Airmail Subscription Billing

Airmail is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store, which means that all subscription billing, invoices, promotional offers, and refunds are managed directly by Apple. Airmail (the developer) does not have access to your payment details, the prices applied at checkout, or any tool to issue a refund.

This article explains how to find the receipt for your purchase, how to verify your subscription status, and how to request a refund or report a billing issue to Apple.

How to find your Airmail purchase receipt

Apple automatically sends an email receipt to the address associated with your Apple ID every time a subscription is purchased or renewed. If you cannot find it, please check the following:

  • Look for an email from Apple with the subject Your receipt from Apple. The sender is usually no_reply@email.apple.com.
  • - Check your spam, junk, and Promotions folders.
  • - The receipt is sent in the language and currency of the App Store region linked to the Apple ID at the time of the purchase.

If you still cannot find the receipt, you can retrieve a full record of your purchases directly from Apple:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID that purchased the subscription.
  • - Locate Airmail in your purchase history. Each entry shows the amount charged, the date, and a Report a Problem button.
  • - On iPhone or iPad: Settings, then your name, then Media and Purchases, then View Account, then Purchase History.
  • - On macOS: open the App Store, click your name (bottom-left), then Account Settings, then scroll to Purchase History.

How to check the status of your Airmail Pro subscription

The status of your subscription, the renewal date, and the current price are visible at:

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Airmail.
  • - macOS: App Store, then your name (bottom-left), then Account Settings, then Subscriptions.
  • - Web: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

On each of these screens you can also change the subscription plan, switch between monthly and annual, or cancel the renewal.

How to request a refund or report a billing issue

Apple is the only party authorised to issue refunds for App Store subscriptions:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
  • - Find the Airmail charge in the list.
  • - Select Report a Problem and choose the option that best matches your case, for example I was charged for this but did not receive the offer, This was an accidental purchase, or I did not authorise this purchase.
  • - Submit the request. Apple usually reviews and responds within a few business days.

Why did the price change from one renewal to the next

If you initially purchased Airmail at a promotional or introductory price, the renewal price automatically reverts to the standard subscription price. Apple also adjusts pricing based on the App Store region and local taxes. To see the price that will apply on the next renewal, please open the Subscriptions screen above before the renewal date.

If you believe a promotional offer was not correctly applied, please request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com and Apple will review the case.

Do I have an Airmail account with a separate password?

No. Airmail does not maintain a separate user account or password. Access to Pro features is tied entirely to the Apple ID that purchased the subscription. To restore Pro features on a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases in Airmail Settings.
