How to Downgrade from Airmail Pro to the Free Version

If you currently have an Airmail Pro subscription and would like to return to the free version of Airmail, you can do so at any time. Because Airmail is distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store, the Pro subscription is managed by Apple via your Apple ID, and the downgrade is handled by cancelling the subscription in the App Store.

Follow these simple steps:

Open the App Store on your Mac.
2. Click your name (or sign-in icon) in the bottom-left corner of the App Store window.
3. Select "View Information" or "Account Settings". You may be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.
4. Scroll down to the "Subscriptions" section and click "Manage".
5. Locate "Airmail" in the list and click it.
6. Select "Cancel Subscription" and confirm.

What happens next:

Your Airmail Pro subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Once that period ends, the app will automatically return to the free version. Airmail will remain installed on your Mac and you will continue to be able to use it with the features available in the free version. No reinstallation is required.

Important notes:

Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Otherwise, the Airmail subscription will not appear in your subscriptions list.
- If you signed up for Airmail Pro through a Family Sharing organizer, only the organizer can cancel the subscription.
- Refunds for past payments are handled directly by Apple. To request a refund, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
