How to Insert Special Characters and Accents

To type special characters or accented letters in Airmail on macOS:

1. Press and hold the letter key you want to accent (e.g., hold the 'a' key)
2. A popup menu will appear showing all available character variations
3. Click on the desired character or press the corresponding number

This works the same way as in any other macOS application.
