How to make ‘Quick Reply’ the default behaviour in Airmail for macOS
When replying to an email in Airmail, the default behaviour is to open a new window. If you prefer to use
Airmail’s ‘quick reply’ feature to dash off a response, it is possible to make this the default behaviour when
you click on reply or use the reply-to shortcut key combination, 'Command'+'R'. This change is made for a
particular account, so it is an account specific option/preference.
Open Airmail Preferences and choose an account and click on the 'gear' icon to the right of that account’s panel (or simply double click an account), as highlighted by the white box in the image below.

Next, click on the ‘Composer’ tab and check the box next to ‘Quick Reply by Default’, as shown below.

Now when you respond to a message, the quick-reply pane will open at the top of the message to which
you are replying, as shown below.
