How to Select All Messages in Airmail (Cmd+A)

Problem

You want to select all messages in your inbox or a folder to perform a bulk action (archive, delete, move, etc.).

Solution

On macOS

Use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+A to select all messages in the currently visible list.

Once selected, you can:

  • Press Delete to trash all selected messages
  • Press E to archive all selected messages
  • Right-click for more options (Move, Mark as Read, etc.)

On iOS / iPadOS

  1. Open the mailbox or folder you want to manage
  2. Tap Edit in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Select All at the top-left
  4. Use the toolbar at the bottom to perform your action (Archive, Trash, Move, etc.)

Tips

  • To select a range of messages on Mac, click the first message, then hold Shift and click the last message
  • To select individual messages on Mac, hold Cmd and click each message you want
  • If Cmd+A doesn't work, make sure the message list is focused (click on the message list area first)
