How to Set a Default Email Account in Airmail

<h2>Problem</h2><p>When composing a new email, Airmail uses the wrong "From" account, and you want to set a default sending account.</p><h2>Solution</h2><h3>On macOS</h3><ol><li>Go to <strong>Settings → Accounts</strong></li><li>The account at the <strong>top of the list</strong> is your default account</li><li>Drag accounts to reorder them — place your preferred default account first</li><li>Alternatively: Settings → Composing → <strong>Default Account</strong> to explicitly set it</li></ol><h3>On iOS</h3><ol><li>Go to <strong>Settings → Composing</strong></li><li>Look for <strong>Default Account</strong></li><li>Select your preferred account</li></ol><h3>Smart Default Behavior</h3><p>Airmail has a smart default feature: when you reply to an email, it automatically uses the account that received the email. The default account setting only applies to new compositions.</p><h3>Changing Account While Composing</h3><p>You can always change the sending account while composing:</p><ol><li>In the compose window, click on the <strong>"From"</strong> field</li><li>Select the account you want to send from</li></ol>
