How to Set Up Out of Office / Auto-Reply in Airmail

Problem

You want to set up an Out of Office or auto-reply message through Airmail.

Solution

Airmail does not have a built-in Out of Office or auto-reply feature. However, you can set this up through your email provider:

For Gmail / Google Workspace

Open Gmail in a web browser (mail.google.com)

Click the gear icon → See all settings

Scroll down to the "Vacation responder" section

Turn on "Vacation responder"

Set your date range, subject, and message

Click Save Changes

The auto-reply will work regardless of whether you use Airmail or Gmail to read your mail.

For Outlook / Microsoft 365

Open Outlook on the web (outlook.office.com)

Go to Settings → View all Outlook settings

Select Mail → Automatic replies

Turn on automatic replies and compose your message

For iCloud Mail

iCloud Mail does not natively support auto-reply. You would need to use a third-party service or mail rule workaround.

Note: Out of Office settings are managed at the email server level, not within Airmail itself.
