How to Sync iCloud Calendar and Contacts with Airmail

Problem

Your iCloud calendars or contacts are not syncing properly with Airmail, or you want to enable iCloud calendar/contact integration.

Solution

Airmail uses the system-level calendar and contacts integration on macOS and iOS. To ensure iCloud calendars and contacts work correctly:

On macOS

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS)
  2. Go to Internet Accounts (or Apple ID → iCloud)
  3. Make sure iCloud is enabled
  4. Ensure Calendars and Contacts are toggled ON
  5. Open Airmail → Settings → Calendar and verify the iCloud calendars appear

On iOS

  1. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
  2. Make sure Calendars and Contacts are toggled ON
  3. Open Airmail and check that your calendars appear in the calendar view

Troubleshooting

  • If calendars don't appear, try toggling iCloud Calendar off and on again in System Settings
  • Restart Airmail after making changes
  • Ensure you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
  • Check that Airmail has permission to access Calendars in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars
