How to Sync iCloud Calendar and Contacts with Airmail
Problem
Your iCloud calendars or contacts are not syncing properly with Airmail, or you want to enable iCloud calendar/contact integration.
Solution
Airmail uses the system-level calendar and contacts integration on macOS and iOS. To ensure iCloud calendars and contacts work correctly:
On macOS
- Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS)
- Go to Internet Accounts (or Apple ID → iCloud)
- Make sure iCloud is enabled
- Ensure Calendars and Contacts are toggled ON
- Open Airmail → Settings → Calendar and verify the iCloud calendars appear
On iOS
- Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
- Make sure Calendars and Contacts are toggled ON
- Open Airmail and check that your calendars appear in the calendar view
Troubleshooting
- If calendars don't appear, try toggling iCloud Calendar off and on again in System Settings
- Restart Airmail after making changes
- Ensure you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
- Check that Airmail has permission to access Calendars in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars
