How to Use VIP Contacts in Airmail

Problem

You want to prioritize emails from certain contacts so they stand out in your inbox.

Solution

Airmail's VIP feature lets you mark important contacts so their emails are highlighted and can be viewed in a dedicated folder.

Adding a VIP Contact on macOS

1. Open an email from the person you want to mark as VIP
2. Right-click on their name or email address
3. Select Add to VIP

Adding a VIP Contact on iOS

1. Open an email from the contact
2. Tap on their name/email
3. Select Add to VIP

Viewing VIP Emails

• Look for the VIP folder in the sidebar
• All emails from your VIP contacts will appear here
• If you don't see it, go to Settings → Favourites and enable the VIP folder

VIP Notifications

You can set up special notifications for VIP emails:

1. Go to Settings → Notifications
2. Look for VIP notification settings
3. You can assign a different notification sound or alert style for VIP emails

Removing a VIP

Right-click (or tap) on the contact and select Remove from VIP.
