IMAP/POP3 Account Setup - SSL Configuration for Custom Domains

Problem

The user cannot set up an email account from a custom domain (e.g. a hosting provider like DotEasy) in Airmail. The error says "unable to verify account name or password" and there is no visible option for SSL settings.

Solution

When adding a custom domain email account via IMAP or POP3:

Go to Airmail Settings → Accounts → Add Account → Other (IMAP/POP).

Enter your email address and password.

In the server settings, enter the incoming (IMAP/POP) and outgoing (SMTP) server addresses provided by your hosting provider.

Make sure to enter the password in both the IMAP and SMTP fields.

SSL/TLS settings are configured automatically. If you need to specify ports manually, common settings are: IMAP port 993 (SSL), POP3 port 995 (SSL), SMTP port 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS).

If the account works in webmail but not in Airmail, verify the server addresses and credentials with your hosting provider.
