# Interface | Labels

The Airmail app provides users with a versatile interface for managing emails, making it easier to organize and find messages through the use of customizable labels and folders. This article will explore how to customize and display folders in the sidebar of the Airmail app for enhanced productivity.


##### Display Folders in the sidebar

Please go to the Airmail settings > Manage Labels > Scroll down to bottom and enable "Labels" option. Enabling this option will display custom folders of your accounts in the sidebar.

###### How to Customize a Label/Folder

1. Tap the menu icon ≡ in the top left corner on the app, which will reveal the menu. 
2. Scroll down and tap on Settings.
3. Tap on the preferred email account
4. Now tap label option
5. And then tap on the label/folder you want to customize.
6. The folder properties will now appear:

6. Options:

Rename: To give the label a new name
Colour: Choose a different colour.
New Sub label: Create a sub label
Move: Move the label to a different location
Add to Favorites: Labels marked as Favourites will be displayed in the Sidebar menu
Hide: Hide the label
Delete: Delete the label

7. To close the Label properties, tap on the X
