Managing your Airmail subscription: pricing, renewals, cancelling, downgrading, restoring and receipts

Airmail Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, and because Airmail is a Mac App Store app, all billing is handled by Apple through your Apple ID. This means subscriptions, prices, renewals, refunds and receipts are managed in your Apple account rather than inside Airmail. Here is how to handle the most common requests.
Checking whether you are on the free or the Pro version. Your status is shown in your Apple account: on Mac, open System Settings > [your name] > Media and Purchases > Subscriptions; on iPhone or iPad, open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. If Airmail is listed as an active subscription, you are on Pro; if it is not listed, you are using the free version.
Pricing and renewals. The current price and the next renewal date are always shown on that same Subscriptions screen, and Apple sends a reminder before each renewal. If your renewal price has changed, the amount displayed in your Apple account is the one that will apply. We are not able to change Apple's pricing manually, but we always welcome your feedback on it and share it with our team.
Cancelling or downgrading from Pro to the free version. To return to the free / standard version, simply cancel the Pro subscription: on Mac go to System Settings > [your name] > Media and Purchases > Subscriptions > Airmail > Cancel Subscription (on iPhone or iPad: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Airmail > Cancel Subscription). You keep the Pro features until the end of the current billing period, after which Airmail automatically reverts to the free version. Your accounts, folders and settings are not affected.
Using Pro on another Mac or after reinstalling (Restore Purchases). If a second device asks you to subscribe again even though you already pay, make sure it is signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID, then open Airmail > Settings (Preferences) > Pro and choose Restore Purchases. Your existing subscription will be recognised without any new charge.
Finding your receipt or subscription email. Apple sends the purchase receipt to the email address linked to your Apple ID. You can also view your full purchase history and request an invoice at any time by signing in at reportaproblem.apple.com, or via the App Store > your name > Account Settings > Purchase History.
Refunds. Because purchases are processed by Apple, refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
