Outlook Junk Folder Not Showing in Airmail
Problem
Your Outlook or Microsoft 365 Junk/Spam folder is not visible in Airmail, so you can't check or manage junk emails.
Solution
Step 1: Enable the Junk Folder in Airmail
- Open Airmail
- Go to Settings → Accounts
- Select your Outlook/Microsoft 365 account
- Look for Folder Mapping or Mailbox Behaviors
- Make sure Junk/Spam is mapped to the correct Outlook folder
Step 2: Check Folder Subscriptions
If the Junk folder still doesn't appear:
- Go to Settings → Accounts → [Your Outlook Account]
- Look for Subscribe to Folders or Folder List
- Find the Junk Email folder and make sure it's enabled/subscribed
Step 3: Refresh Folder List
- Right-click on your account in the sidebar
- Select Refresh Folders or Sync Folders
- Wait for the folder list to update
Step 4: Check Outlook Web
Log into outlook.office.com and verify that the Junk Email folder exists and contains messages. If the folder was renamed or has special characters, Airmail may not recognize it.
Note
Outlook uses "Junk Email" as the folder name, while other providers use "Spam". Airmail should map these automatically, but the mapping can sometimes fail after account changes.
