# Shortcut - Applying a label - Airmail for macOS

| The label will now be applied. You will notice the new label, in this example ‘Notes’, appears on the email in the top right corner.

###### 1. Click on any email you would like to apply a label to


###### 2. Press the L key 


###### 3. A list with all the labels will appear in a menu.


###### 4. Click on the label of your choosing.


###### 5. The label will now be applied. You will notice the new label, in this example ‘Notes’, appears on the email in the top right corner.
