Updating or Changing the Payment Method for Your Airmail Subscription
If your Airmail subscription payment failed, or you simply want to use a different card, please note that Airmail is distributed through the Mac App Store. The subscription and its payment method are therefore managed by Apple and not inside the Airmail app, so you update your card in your Apple ID / App Store settings.
On your Mac: 1) Open the App Store; 2) Click your name in the bottom-left corner, then "Account Settings" (sign in if asked); 3) Click "Manage Payments" (or "Payment Information"); 4) Add a new card or edit the existing one, then save. Alternatively, go to the Apple menu > System Settings > [your name] > "Payment & Shipping" and update the card there.
On your iPhone or iPad: 1) Open Settings and tap your name at the top; 2) Tap "Payment & Shipping"; 3) Add or edit your card and save.
After updating your card, any pending or failed subscription payment is retried automatically by Apple, usually within a short time. You do not need to cancel or re-purchase your Airmail subscription.
To view a receipt or request a refund for a specific charge, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
If your subscription still isn't recognised after the payment goes through, open Airmail > Settings (or Preferences) > Accounts/Pro and tap "Restore Purchases", making sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
