Settings | Airmail Notifications

This article will focus on the Airmail notifications that applies to all accounts. Account specific notifications
will also be discussed in more detail here.

Set & Customize Notifications



Tap the menu icon ≡ in the top left corner on the app, which will reveal the menu.

Tap on Settings

Scroll down to Notifications and tap on it.


Enable Notification, if not yet enabled.

Actions


The shown options here refer to the actions that can be taken from notification bar. A maximum of 2
actions can be selected. With the options above, the banner notification will look like this:


Tapping on these buttons will execute the desired function without opening the Airmail app.

Advanced Settings


Actions Requires Unlock: With this feature enabled, the iOS first needs to unlock before an action
can be completed.

Account Specific Notifications



Tap the menu icon ≡ in the top left corner on the app, which will reveal the menu.
Tap on the email account you would like to edit.
Tap on notifications



Notifications:

Notifications can be set to display for All Messages, just for VIP Contacts or no notifications.



Sounds:

To set a specific tone for the notification, tap the appropriate one. Tapping a sound will also play it.
