Interface | Filters

Airmail provides five different filtering options to help you quickly organize and reduce unwanted messages.

These filters can be applied individually or combined with one another for more precise results.


Where to Find Filters:

  • The filters are located at the bottom of the email list, right next to the search bar.
  • Simply tap on a filter icon to enable it, and use multiple filters together to refine your inbox view.





Filters can be enable or disabled in the settings of Airmail App.


  1. Tap on the on the menu icon in the top left corner on the app, which will reveal the menu.

  1. Scroll down to the Workflow section


  1. Tap the button to the right of Show Filters to enable or disable.





Filters Explained






  1. ** Unread/Read Filter **


To filter message by their Read status, simply tap on Unread.

To clear the filter, simply tap on it again.


  1. Attachment Filter


To view message with attachment, simply tap on the Attach button.


  1. Conversation Filter


To group messages according to conversions/threads, simply tap on the Threads button. Messages that aren't part of a conversation will not be displayed.


  1. Starred Filter


The Starred filter allows you to quickly view all messages that you have marked as important or “starred.”

This helps you keep track of priority emails without having to search through your entire inbox.


  1. Calendar Filter


The Calendar filter allows you to quickly find and view all emails that contain calendar invitations or scheduling information. This is especially useful for keeping track of meeting requests, event invites, or updates without searching through your entire inbox.
