Interface | Filters

Airmail App makes use of 5 different options to filter out unwanted messages. These filters can be used as
a stand-alone filter, or in combination with one or any of the other filters.

Locating the Filters

The filters are only available in the message list and will only be revealed when swiping downwards and
hide when swiping upwards.


Filters can be enable or disabled in the settings of Airmail App.

Tap on the on the menu icon in the top left corner on the app, which will reveal the menu.

Scroll down to the Workflow section

Tap the button to the right of Show Filters to enable or disable.



Filters Explained


Unread/Read Filter

To filter message by their Read status, simply tap on Unread which will turn the button to blue.

To view read message only, simply tap & hold the Unread button until it changes to orange.


To clear the filter, simply tap on it again. The colour will change back to white.

Attachment Filter

To view message with attachment, simply tap on the Attach button. It will turn blue to confirm your
selection.


To view message with no attachments, simply tap & hold on the Attach button until it turns orange.


To clear the filter, simply tap on it again. The colour will change back to white.

Conversation Filter

To group messages according to conversions/threads, simply tap on the Threads button. It will turn blue to confirm your selection. Messages that aren't part of a conversation will not be displayed.


To ungroup messages, or see the individual emails, tap & hold the Threads button until it turns orange.


To clear the filter, simply tap on it again. The colour will change back to white.

Today Filter

To view messages from today only, click on the Today button. The button will turn blue to confirm the filter is active.


To view message before Today, tap & hold the Today button until it turns orange.


To clear the filter, simply tap on it again. The colour will change back to white.

Smart Filter

With the smart filter enabled, only messages from 'real contact' will be shows. Bulk mail messages, newsletters, etc. will be filtered out. Tap on Smart to enable it.


To show only bulk messages etc, tap & hold Smart until it turns orange to enable.


To clear the filter, simply tap on it again. The colour will change back to white.


Multiple Filters


Filters can be used together in any combination.


For example:


Filter all messages that have been read, arrived today and are part of a conversation.
