Calendar Integrations in Airmail

Airmail allows you to integrate to multiple calendar apps. Below, we have described each of the integration.

Fantastical Integration



Fantastical is a very elegant 3rd party app available for macOS, which is used by many power users to keep their calendar entries.

To integrate Airmail with Fantastical,

Make sure that you have Fantastical installed on your Mac.
Airmail Preferences > Services > Fantastical > Enable.
Make Fantastical your default calendar app by going to Apple Calendar Preferences > General > Default calendar app > Fantastical 2.

How to send a calendar invite to Fantastical?


You can simply double click (if you have Fantastical as your default calendar app) on the ".ics" file received in the preview of email with the calendar invite.

How to send a date to Fantastical?


You can right click on a date and then choose 'Create Fantastical 2 Event'.



BusyCal Integration



BusyCal is another powerful calendar app which is available on the App Store.

To integrate Airmail with Fantastical,

Make sure that you have BusyCal installed on your Mac.
Airmail Preferences > Services > BusyCal > Enable.
Make BusyCal your default calendar app by going to Apple Calendar Preferences > General > Default calendar app > BusyCal.

How to send a calendar invite to BusyCal?


You can simply double click (if you have BusyCal as your default calendar app) on the ".ics" file received in the preview of email with the calendar invite.

How to send a date to BusyCal?


You can right click on a date and then choose 'Create BusyCal Event'.


Apple Calendar Integration



Apple Calendar is the default calendar app for macOS.

You will have to make sure to enable the following settings to enable the integration:

Mac System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Calendars > Airmail.
Apple Calendar Preferences > General > Default Calendar App > Calendar.
Airmail Preferences > Services > Calendar and you select a default calendar from the available list of calendars.

How to send an invite to Apple Calendar app?


Simply double click the ".ics" file received in the preview of email with the calendar invite and the invite will automatically create an event in the Apple Calendar app.

How to send a date to Apple Calendar app?


Just click on the date and then choose 'Create Calendar Event'.
