How to Customize the Toolbar and Action Bar in Airmail for Mac

Problem

You want to customize which buttons appear in the Airmail toolbar and message action bar on Mac.

Customizing the Toolbar

1. Right-click on the toolbar area at the top of Airmail
2. Select Customize Toolbar
3. Drag and drop icons to add or remove toolbar items
4. Available items include: New Message, Reply, Forward, Archive, Delete, Flag, Move, and more
5. Click Done when finished

Customizing the Action Bar

The action bar appears when you hover over or select a message. To customize it:

1. Go to Airmail → Settings → Actions
2. Configure which actions appear on swipe and hover
3. Set up custom action sequences for one-tap workflows

Custom Actions

Airmail lets you create custom action sequences that chain multiple actions together:

1. Go to Settings → Actions → Custom Actions
2. Tap + to create a new custom action
3. Chain actions like: Mark as Read → Move to Folder → Apply Label
4. Name your custom action and save
5. The action will appear in your action bar and right-click menu
